The footage captured Betts’ children being racially abused while innocently playing in their backyard. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous communities in Australia.

The Confederation of Australian Sport (CAS), stand firmly against all forms of racism and discrimination. CAS CEO Rob Bradley expressed deep concern about the racial abuse directed at Eddie Betts’ children, emphasising that “There is no place for this sort of behaviour in Australian society and racism of any kind is absolutely unacceptable.”
