Paddle Australia (PA) takes pride in unveiling its LGBTQ Inclusion Policy, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for LGBTQ individuals in the world of paddling.
With the release of PA’s LGBTQ Inclusion Policy, the organization aims to eliminate discriminatory practices within its facilities, programs, and services, ensuring a safe, equitable, and supportive atmosphere. Additionally, PA recognizes the importance of educating its staff, volunteers, and the wider paddling community on LGBTQ inclusion.
Throughout the development of the policy, Paddle Australia has diligently sought input and feedback from key stakeholders, including its Board, Competitions Committee, Ethics and Integrity Committee, Athletes Commission, and State Paddle Associations, thus ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive consultation process.

“Inclusion is at the core of our values as an organisation, reflective of the diversity of our local communities.
“We recently announced our membership to the Australian Pride in Sport Program, and the release of our LGBTQ Inclusion Policy is another step towards making paddling a more welcoming place for all.
“We have undertaken an extensive consultation process in the development of this Policy, we would like to thank those who contributed to its development.”
