The Australian Government and Football Australia have renewed their partnership through the PacificAus Sports program, aiming to strengthen elite football development across the Pacific region. Over the next four years, this initiative will support regular international fixtures between Australian and Pacific national teams, as well as capacity-building programs designed to enhance the skills and development of players, match officials, and administrators throughout the Pacific.

The partnership will feature women’s and men’s football across various age groups, including international futsal, providing Pacific national teams with regular opportunities to train and compete alongside some of Australia’s top talent. This initiative builds on previous successful engagements, such as the 2019 Pacific Tour, and represents a significant step in deepening the sporting connections between Australia and the Pacific.

Through this collaboration, Football Australia and the Australian Government aim to foster a shared passion for football, strengthen ties with local communities, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the sport in the region. By investing in these opportunities, the partnership underscores its commitment to promoting football as a unifying force that brings the Pacific region closer together, both on and off the pitch.
